What is following? If you have a favorite blog, you can stay up-to-date on all the posts by going to the blog on clicking on the FOLLOW button. Following will allow you to see/receive all new updates for the blog and let's the blogger know you enjoy the blog! You can read all about it HERE at Google's Help Page.
What does it mean to subscribe? If you want to get updates on ONLY the POSTS or ONLY the COMMENTS, then scroll on down the page and click on SUBSCRIBE TO button or COMMENTS button. From there you can add the updates to your google or yahoo, etc.
