Christmas Mantel Decor (From Bali With Love)

I love Christmas time, though living in Indonesia, it's not quite the same as living back home to decorate and celebrate. Seeing these lovely ideas does inspire me to make some of my own decorations this year to make our home in Bali be full of Christmas spirit.
Here are some ideas to decorate your mantel for Christmas. If you don't have a mantel you can easily convert these to decorate a bookshelf, entertainment cabinet, console table or even in your bedroom on a headboard or footboard.
Download the free felt sign patterns HERE.
Make a sign. Use wallpaper, contact paper, wrapping paper, fabric, etc.
Wrap canvases with wrapping paper to hang on the wall. I love how simple yet creative this is.
Use a small iron gate or similar garden piece inside to display and decorate.
I love this idea of hanging mittens but I probably wouldn't use white felt, maybe colorful felt or actual mittens for a special wintery touch!
Isn't this a cute idea? Using a garden trellis to hold greeting cards.
Make simple yet lovely garland out of nuts and ribbon,
